The bill actually stiffens penalties for bad dog hunters and improves the DNRs ability to prosecute

In return the bill does open formally closed counties by a certain date. Counties such as Lauderdale never had a season so those counties are excluded. It would solve the convoluted and hard to understand mess of a permit system. Which was never used by the DNR as designed.

The whole issue is keeping dogs on your own property. Most dog hunters know that’s the issue and are spending thousands to do just that by tone breaking their dogs with the technology available. Pretty amazing to watch them stop a pack from a mile away.

Bad dog hunters and those not willing to do so are against it....... as usual.
