I put 28 gallons in my truck tonight. That's probably a 3 times a week average. Also filled up some gas cans, not out of panic, but I was out of gas for yard equipment. All the stations on 280 and down in Chelsea were very crowded. My favorite little gas station, Chelsea BP on Hwy 11, was totally out of gas. I'm going to be driving close to 1,000 miles around Alabama over the next 3 days so hopefully no issues, otherwise ole straycat may need a rescue

I'm going to be driving close to 1,000 miles around Alabama over the next 3 days so hopefully no issues, otherwise ole straycat may need a rescue I am a little short of that - I filled up twice today (mostly because I reached 1/2 a tank and was concerned about availability). Today was 209 (Eclectic -> Athens -> Decatur -> Athens hotel) tomorrow I have about 220-miles (Athens -> Florence -> Decatur -> Eclectic) then Thursday about 300+ miles (Eclectic -> Troy -> Birmingham -> Eclectic). Life behind a windshield and hotels.

Seems to be mostly democrats and democrat run cities that are sold on the panic. Not your hometown. Pretty much normal here.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I'm part of the 60 miles daily roundtrip club. Many on here travel more than that though. Still kinda sucks for miles on my truck. May have to start driving my wife's old honda accord. I lose my man card every time I slide into that itty bitty car.

Is this the “let’s all pretend like we’re not keeping our tank more full than usual” thread? If a person isn’t doing that I’d question them. I guarantee you that I am filling up more than usual - I normally run to fumes (Explorer gets about 380/400 miles a tank and I drive 350/375 - or when fuel light comes on). Once it reaches a half a tank (about 200-miles) - I start looking.

Is this the “let’s all pretend like we’re not keeping our tank more full than usual” thread? If a person isn’t doing that I’d question them. No doubt. I was at a station picking up a couple beers and I heard the clerk tell somebody they were out of gas and nobody in town had any left (which I don't know is true). I'm glad I topped the tank off Monday even though I had 3/4 left.

I've been tearing up the roads since Sunday. Haven't had a problem getting fuel. Approaching 1200 miles. Everywhere I've stopped has had open pumps. That 36 gallon tank keeps me running a good ways too.

My boss... A great guy. Texted me tonight while I was at Squid Ink and asked,
"Are you still in Mobile?" I was like, "Yeah." "Do you have enough gas to get home?"
He's a good dude. I'm blessed. Should have told him the tank is dry and all gas stations for 50 miles are out and could be at least two weeks before stations have any.
