should i be worried about this? this is a MILD example ... we lost water service where i live yesterday - a busted line or something - since it got restored, a couple of my toilets are making this racket i'm assuming "air in the line" - but - i've turned my water off before long trips & never heard this racket before

Call your water dept. They should have flushed the line after the repair. If not, you can get them to take the register off of the meter and then you can flush all you want without charge.

Is your kitchen faucet holding pressure/good flow with no sputtering? On your original post you stated a couple of toilets made the noise. Do you have one toilet that is working correctly?

my faucets are doing fine -- all flowing & not sputtering ... and ya, all my toilets are doing this now ... i've got 3 - 1 of 'em is very mild, but the other two still sound like bombs exploding inside the tank
i think the main line still has something going on - the water looks cloudy & to my "un-trained" eye, aeriated
