Thats a hard thing to deal with if a fella is trying to stay sober. Amphetamine salt is one thing the drs used to prescribe for narcolepsy and lack of focus. Itll keep you awake sure enough. Maybe it wont come to that. Ill be praying for you. If you find yourself having to take something to stay awake, for safety's sake, be really honest with yourself about how much youre liking it and whether or not you can do without it. Stimulants are very addictive. See if your doc will prescribe you some trazadone. It should help you sleep. That's what mine put me on. The doc's claim the "side effects" will wear off in a few weeks.........

I had to take the vaccine for my job (must take to travel, my job requires me to travel, had to take vaccine). Ever since my second shot I haven’t slept right at all. I’ve never slept good but I could usually get 6 hours a night. Now I’m lucky if I stay asleep 2 hours at a time. It’s really affecting me during the day. I have to continually stand up because if I sit down I will fall into a nap in a matter of seconds. Anyone else seeing this? What did y’all do for it? Same effects I had for 3 days then I was good.

Now they are reporting the J&J vaccine is causing some folks to get the nerve paralysis disease. There have been approximately 100 reported cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome in the 12 million patients that have received the J&J Covid vaccine. That means there's a 0.0000083% of getting GBS from the vaccine if in fact all reported cases are secondary to the vaccine. If you need to consider the vaccine due to your risk, I would not factor in the risk of getting GBS from the vaccine into the equation. You have a greater chance of getting killed in an automobile accident driving to the vaccine center then you do of actually getting Guillain Barré syndrome and dying from it. It is estimated that there are 1-2 cases of GBS for every 1 million flu shots given yearly. So, the J&J vaccine does represent a higher risk but both are extremely rare.

Doesn’t that same percentage factor driving to get vaccine compared to not surviving Covid?

real question is what are the rates of GBS from just relying on the immunity from having covid???? I'm going to guess zero....

When people first started dying from the covid, i used the exact same argument to try to get people to not live their life in fear because there is a virus going around with a very miniscule chance of death. It was not taken well at all. The same people who didnt take it well use it now to promote their opinions. Crazy aint it. Talk about something coming full circle. No disrespect meant to you pcoladoc. If i felt it necessary to get the vaccine, i would not be afraid to because the death rate is so low, same reason i dont feel its necessary to get the vaccine. Ironic. Yessir!
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
