As bad as wasps are, a house that has had a resident owl in it for the summer is worse. We screw plywood over the inside of the window opening but one of the boards fell off and an owl moved in. I didnt realize how much stuff a owl kills. There was about 6-7" of bones, feathers and goo in the bottom of a 4x4' house. I think I am going to have to build a new stand next to it, I doubt I could ever get the smell out. Disgusting is not a strong enough word to describe it.

No owls but A pair of buzzards and their off sffspring did a pretty good job on one of my boxes. Used the chair for a nest.Did not have to worry about scent control in that stand for years. I was in debate on whether or not to burn a shooting house this year from them. The smell made me gag when I opened the door

Orange raid foggers are the best bar none. Start on the first good cool morning when the little bastages are inside huddling for warmth. Drop a bomb wait a day or 7 and return with a vacum and can of wasp spray (just incase) and get em cleaned out. Tried the cow tags was not impressed Those are what I use too. They do a great job.

Not sure if the picture will show but that’s what happens when someone forgets to shut the window at the end of hunting season. Sadly this stand would burn down if at my place. Thats a big NOPE from me.
