Looking for used hulls to reload 12ga / 20ga & 410. Not wanting to spend a bunch of money hoping for some that maybe headed to the trashcan.

Not sure how soon you’ll need them but depending on how the birds fly I will have some 20 gauge and possibly some 410 after opening weekend

Not in a big hurry. I got a used loader and trying to round up a few items. I got a small list of parts I need to get from MEC to get the loader up and running. I got to run down a load manual, I think my local gunsmith has on. He gave me some hulls and I bought 25# of 7 1/2 and 6 shot,700 nobel primers, 500 12ga wads and 250 20ga wads. Already got red& blue dot powders. Only got one charge bar 1 3/8 oz load with a #38a bushing. I think I can load 12ga when I get the parts in but need the kits to do 20ga and 410. Or I may go with dedicated 20g and 410 loaders. It looks like a lot of things to change to swap ga's on this machines but not sure.

Same here regarding opening day of dove season. If you want me to save my 12 gauge hulls, I'll be happy to. I know there is at least one guy that shoots 20 gauge. I can go around the field and collect all of them if you want? Just let me know,...and hope the birds are flying that day

That would be nice but you don't have to if you don't want to. If you do I'll only reload brass heads the aluminum ones you can reload but I don't. Just keep me posted i can't pay much for them but I can do something for your time picking them up.

did you buy those reloaders that were in pheonix city?

No I had a mec 600jr 12ga gave to me by a friend a little while back and trying to get it up and running. Trying to collect up some stuff to load with. All I have is listed above but it is a start. When the new parts come in I can load 12ga shells, i need to see want wad I have and get a charge bar that works with it. I have a 1 3/8 bar but not sure if the wad i have on hand will hold that much shot.

Find your closest sporting clays course. They should let you take as many spent shells as you will ever need.

Under normal circumstances this would be true. However with the shotgun shell shortage more and more are reloading old hulls. It’s pretty hard to find GOOD hulls to reload.

You are correct! Anything in the reloading world getting hard to find. Just try to get started in shot shell loading and not trying to break the bank doing it.

I'd be more than happy to . Usually there are around 15-20 folks at the field I go to on opening day. I'll ask everyone there if they will police their spot and save their hulls for me. You won't owe me a dime brother. So you say to trash the aluminum ones?
