I’m an ER physician in one of the larger hospitals in our state. I’ll keep my personal opinions to myself but would like to answer any questions that you all may have. Specifically any questions that you all may have regarding Covid and what my experience has been over the last year and a half especially recently over the last four weeks as far as what I have seen with Covid patients. Again feel free to ask a question and I’ll simply provide an answer without subjective material.

Good question but I don’t have any insight into that from the perspective of the Emergency Department. Our charts are coded by our billing company as a Lvl 1-5 chart and billed upon that level assigned to the chart.

I got a question:

Why do we at an individual level continue to support a hostile communist nation that is completely incongruent with our publicly stated values that moreover directly competes against and stifles US companies on an uphill playing field?

Why is this legal on a federal level and why as Americans have not come together to sell the stock of corporations that import Chinese goods. After all the vote with the wallet is the strongest of them all. And we are in the driver seat as the largest consumer nation in the world. Let us lead and beckon the rest of the free world to follow suit by our example. Force Chinese to change or find a new customer base in the Third World!

This virus needs to be our national catalyst.
They havewrecked us all in someway and limited our freedoms and have killed many Americans!
It’s either unforgivable carelessness at best or intentional biological warfare at worst.

So why don’t people care about this? Corporate responsibility and save the environment and all those feel good buzz words..
Are the values of the greatest generation and that of true American patriotism appealing equally to the left and right gone forever?

If you wanna talk about it vaccines yes or no mask yes or no what about where this threat started from and continues to be from. Will you vote with your wallet? Yes or no? Will you join a national movement call your congressman and senator? Yes or no?

Is the monoclonal antibody available only to certain people? I've heard you have to "qualify" be over 55, over weight,etc... if this infusion is working, why not make it available for everybody, just curious,we need all the info we can get

1) I can’t speak for every hospital. Our hospital currently has approximately 88-89% of all admitted patients are unvaccinated and 11 to 12% of admitted patients are vaccinated.

2) State of Alabama recently one week ago issued an emergency use authorization for the monoclonal antibody. It is authorized for use on anybody 12 years of age or older who has either contracted COVID-19 or has been directly exposed to somebody with COVID-19.

Just so we're crystal clear, is the graphic posted below pretty much in agreement with what you see in hospitals? And I'm sure you have contact with other hospitals and know their general numbers as well, correct?

In your opinion, why is natural immunity being ignored?

1) I honestly can not speak to the efficacy be it good or bad of either Ivermectin or Plaquenil

2) I don’t know that natural immunity is being ignored. In what context do you mean?

*This answer is for non-N 95 masks and respirator masks* I believe masks help to some degree. I believe surgical masks help more than other types of masks. Mask cut down on larger particle respiratory droplets. They are essentially filters. Some amount of the virus is still aerosolized through the mask but less than what would have been aerosolized had you not been wearing a mask. N95 masks work well but only if you have been appropriately fit tested for that N95 mask.

Do the vaccines work in your opinion, and is there any group that is eligible for the vaccine that you do not recommend getting it?

If, in your opinion they do work, which vaccine do you recommend?

In my opinion, the vaccines work.

I’m not aware of an eligible group that I would recommend against them getting it.

Based on what I’ve seen in both my patients and the literature, I have the most confidence in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

I have no idea. It’s a respiratory virus so I guess if you were super close to a deer that was actively infected and aerosolizing the virus you could contract it.

How many people, that you know of, have died as a result of taking the vaccine?
