We have a Frigidaire Gallery. Double door on top and freezer on bottom. It’s been good. The top ice maker (for the door dispenser) will occasionally freeze up but otherwise no issues.
Avoid Samsung and LG like the plague.
We also have the Frigidaire Gallery appliances and have liked them. However, I won't buy a french door one with the bottom fridge because every one I ever saw was a mess. I don't like digging. Also, I hate bending over and having things low. That may be a height related preference.

We’ve got a LG French door fridge and love it. The best feature is the second ice maker in the bottom drawer, we use a lot of ice in this house between the four of us. The bottom main drawer is divided into two smaller drawers with side to side dividers that really help with organizing groceries. When I placed my appliance order 1st quarter 2020 there were supply chain issues and I was limited as to what was available in the black stainless finish I wanted. I wasn’t thrilled to have to settle with the LG but all of the appliances have exceeded my expectations.
I bought my mom the same fridge and she’s been a big fan as well so it appears lightning struck twice, neither of us are what you could call “easy to please.”
I’ve had this same fridge for about 7 years. It may quit tomorrow but so far its been a good one.

Next fridge and freezer I buy will be commercial. You have to buy commercial to get what used to be good. New stuff sucks. Viking Thor Artic Air Etc….. Especially freezers.

That’s why we chose Blomberg (they make several of the Viking appliances actually). Our ice maker did go out but I sent customer service an email and had a brand new one a week later. It has a 10 year parts warranty.

Thank you everyone for your input! After everything that you guys have said, Samsung is a definite no-go for us for all appliances from here on out. We are currently looking at Whirlpools and have found a couple we like. I had to look up a couple of the brands that you guys listed, which was pretty cool.

I’d try and find one that’s 25 years old because we’ve been through 4 in 14 years but have an old one my wife’s grandpa gave us that’s in our garage and it’s still going strong! Everything now a days is junk

Everything now a days is junk This is a fact, I built our house 31 years ago and we have the same Maytag appliances that we put in when built. We fixing to upgrade new floors and new appliances, having a few issues with frig and dishwasher. Sure hate to deal with the new ones, we will see. we actually have a Kelvinator in our Houseboat that is over 50 yrs old and still going.

Same experience here with this same Frigidare Gallery Series for the past four years. Zero issues and would buy another when this one passes on. Absolutely love the dual ice maker setup w/ large removal bin in the freezer for filling ice chests, etc.
May we all die in bed at 95, shot by a jealous spouse

We've had the french door/freezer bottom, as well as side by side, and are now thinking we'll replace the side by side with a large commercial fridge inside and just use the freezer in the garage for frozen stuff.
and, yes, Samsung may be an excellent phone, but a Samsung fridge/freezer suks!
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
