LOL….I’m good with it being tight, and not using the sights…..in a shotgun. It’s amazing how close your POI can be to where you’re looking, if you just mount correctly and don’t think about it too much. OTOH, ANYTHING that exceeds 000 or 00 in range/lethality, can be a problem on deer in some dog hunts where you’d be in proximity to others….triball, TSS, etc.

The better we get with buck often takes us to a place we don’t need to be….at least with a shotgun.

I agree.

I've missed a few with the Tri-ball that I shouldn't have and I've missed a few with a rifle that I shouldn't have. Then again, I've certainly missed a few with buckshot that I shouldn't have. Anybody who says they haven't missed many running dogs hasn't shot at many. The main thing for everyone is to find a gun and load they have confidence in, whatever that may be. The older I've gotten, the better I've gotten about killing deer. Probably has more to do with being able to hold it together better than anything.
