I know of two cases that almost same exact thing happened to. Both showed exact place and time on road. One was five over. Other was two under. Same trooper four days apart. Both went to court and showed the records and didn't pay anything. The third was a little different. Had a dash cam with GPS. Trooper showed up and saw video and said "Oh I must have screwed up and apologized. This was right before Memorial Day weekend.

Was there other traffic? The rest of my answer will be predicated on this. I’m not sure on that I’ll have to ask. All I know was it was dark around 8:30

I’d take that one to court.

My son just came home and asked me to pull up the Life360 app on my phone to see how fast he was going. It had his top speed at 64. Trooper said he was going 93 and was going to write the ticket at 90 which he did. My question is does he have a legit argument as his speed was tracked by gps compared to what the trooper said he was doing. And I’m going to be honest I believe him. Because hi first words as he came in the door was for me to pull it up and check it. He said he was respectful with the trooper and didn’t argue but told him he didn’t believe he was going that fast. I told him he did the right thing and we will have to see if he has any recourse. Just looking for honest opinions Been here done this it was trooper price wasnt it? The blount court is already rigged against him

Last month a trooper pulled my son over on I85 in Macon county. Told him he clocked him doing 93 but was not going to write him a ticket for speeding just for following to close. And like you his life 360 never showed him over 76mph the whole trip. Must be the new tactic for them. I wish he could have fought it, but he had to leave for school in Missouri 2 days later.

Hard to say if you have a case. Different judges look at things differently. I have Life360 and I kicked up my speed to about 100 and then let off on the accelerator. I checked Life360 and it didn't show that I had gone that fast. I don't know if it was because it was only for a couple of seconds or what. Is LIfe360 in real time or is there a delay before it updates? I'm not sure.

I wouldn’t let cost be an issue in this case. I would hire the most successful attorney I could find and destroy this blowhard cop on the stand. It wouldn’t stop there, either. I would make it my new hobby to daily make every aspect of his personal life a living hell. Take that to the bank.
Edit: Don’t EVER talk to cops, and deny ANY search ALWAYS. If ordered to exit your vehicle, DO SO, but lock door and raise windows. Lock Phone. My own attorney preaches this.

LIfe 360 is not always accurate
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!
