I guess I’ll be the party pooper. I haven’t noticed anything special about them. Been shooting 140gr out of 2 different 7/08’s and performance is good, just not superior to anything else I’ve seen. I still am searching for a bullet that will shore nuff open one up. Blood trails with the ttsx hasn’t been as expected.
Picked up some accu-bonds, Norma soft point and fusions. I will probably start with the fusions or Norma this year depending on what each gun likes.
If I can find some old school partitions, I’ll likely go back to those. I like a 120 grain nosler BT for my handloads and a 7-08.

I’ve got some 165’s I’m going to try out in a .308 at some point.

If I can find some old school partitions, I’ll likely go back to those. I’ve shot several deer with a 120 grain NBT out of my 7-08. Very impressive blood trails. The 120 grain NBT in the 7mm is a tough bullet. I doubt I’ll ever shoot a mono. Nailed it! The 120gr NBT is THE bullet for the 7-08. A 7-08 doesn’t have the velocity needed to maximize damage from a 140gr mono. An 80gr TTSX in a 243 punches way above its weight class. In about 2 months I’ll know what a 95gr LRX will do to one launched from a 6mm creedmoor.
You're only as good as your worst shot-

It was clearly moving way too fast and just penciled through.. Clearly lol You get any bone on that shot?. Exiting out in front of the shoulder like that, he was either quartered away slightly and you took out the opposite shoulder or you started it in just behind the shoulder on the opposite side and just missed the exit side shoulder. Great performance either way. I know that they open like that at 3000-3200 when you get a shoulder but if they open like that at 3600 without catching one, might be time play around some.

Quartering away caught a rib and exited in front of the off shoulder

Barnes recommends light for caliber. I use 120gr in my 7-08 and 130 gr in my 308/30-06. I like exits and get it with the TTSX.
