2001 Tundra TRD 4x4
So, a year ago I totally rebuilt the front end on my son's truck with all new Toyota OEM equipment. Early Saturday morning the passenger side lower ball joint failed causing him to take a hard right and rolling the truck. He's banged up a bit, but doing well overall. Thank God he's ok and wasn't on the interstate when it happened.
My question is, how do I price it to try and sell whole? Not really interested in parting it out. I don't really have the space or place to do that. Motor is still good and has been well maintained, but it does have around 280k miles. Transmission is a Jasper trans with around 90k on it. Detroit rack and pinion has roughly 10k miles. I'm not sure if any of that really even matters honestly, but I'm having a hard time finding prices on wrecked vehicles online. I figured someone here might be able to help. I'd hate to just scrap it, but that's not out of the question. Figured he could get a little more out of it by selling versus a scrap yard to help fund another vehicle.

I would find an Alabama Toyota Facebook page/group and offer the truck for something like $750 for the entire thing as a parts truck. Ya I agree rolled, 20years old and high miles is not helping it much in the value category.

What they said. A recycling yard will give you around $.25 per pound if you are lucky.

You can go on copart auction site as a guest and look at comparable trucks. I spend a lot of time on there buying big truck wrecks but look at others. You can actually have it auctioned off buy them just remember you’re gonna pay some decent fees. Nothing matters but year and damage really. It’ll probably bring $11-2500 at auction if it’ll still start and run depending on damage.
