Perhaps he knows that this team is just simply not as talented as some of his past ones but that is not something that he wants to tell them or something that he will state publicly. It has been said before, and I think it is true, that a coaches best work is not always when they win championships.
Having said that it does look like he has mellowed out a lot. Who knows what, if anything, that means for his future. He may just be waiting on Miss Terry to tell him what to do.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Any coach could’ve won championships most of the teams he’s had in the last 10 years. That is a bold and ridiculously untrue statement. There are quite a few terrible coaches who couldnt win a national championship playing pro players

I think Saban is afraid this name in likeness is going to take away his advantage. Sabans entire career at Alabama has not been built on coaching. His success is 100% in amassing the largest volume of dominant black athletes. With players being able to earn money now, he knows he may not be able to do that, and hoard up all of the dominant black players 4 deep on the roster. Any coach could’ve won championships most of the teams he’s had in the last 10 years. Nailed it.

Just an observation. Saban has spent more time in tv commercials and tv commentaries and HBO specials and political crap tv spots over the last year than he has spent coaching. I think that is what the real problem is. He is a great coach...when he is actually coaching.

Saban has a performance coach who has been working with him for years about staying more calm. The guy was a guest on the Finebaum show. Basically he said that coaches can’t expect their players to stay calm and focus on the play when their coach is going nuts on the sideline about the last play. This has been going on for a few years
