My daughter hunted this buck for 7 straight hunts. She will get obsessed over one deer and hunt him until he is dead. We last had him on camera on the 14th so we were getting worried that he felt pressured. After several hours on the stand he reappeared at 8 this morning. She watched him for 5 minutes before he offered a shot. The sun was in her eyes so she wasn’t completely confident in the shot (crossbow). We decided to give him time. Went back at 2 and blood was sparse but Alyssa was persistent. I had discussed with CNC and he was coming at 4 so I wanted to wait on the dog. We were within 20 yards of him and didn’t know it. Eventually we heard the buzzing of flies so we decided to investigate and there he was. There was definitely no ground shrinkage. Main frame 9 with split brows weighing 200 lbs.
