It happens. Fortunately I've only mixed up 7-08 and 308 and launched the 7-08 out of the 308.
Recoil was quite light and the resulting muzzle blast sounded funny .... kinda like a "PUHH"...lol Believe it not, I know “someone” that mixed up ammo during a range session and mixed in 308 with 270s. The savage action saved my, I mean someone’s ass.
