I've seen a stud standing on the side of the road in that area before. Theres gotta be some good deer next to those ag fields

Probably along the same lines of what I’d say about someone who can’t shoot thinking a belted magnum will somehow help them overcome their failures

Some guys will never get it…….If you’re a proficient shooter and a real killer the you don’t need the deer to be standing just right so you take the perfect shot……nor do you expect for it because many times it doesn’t go down like that….You just need “a shot” and a gun that will effectively preform at any angle. wink

And a 300 Weatherby will do just that. And my 30-06 I'm toting today will too.

RIght! I have a .243 and .270 they are both excellent guns. .Shoot corelokts with both of them, great performance on deer. 243 should never be grouped with the Needmore attention caliber.

Shat I know a dude who shoots a 338-378 a friggin cannon and he can't hit a damn thing cause of the huge recoil. My friggin .243 puts em down baby. Enough with the macho crap, you can only kill a deer so dead.

The issue with more fire power is it’ll give a false sense of security and some will take questionable shots that they shouldn’t have.

I have killed more deer with a 243 than any other caliber. By far. Caliber isn’t as important as being able to hit what you are aiming at. I have said it many times, bullet placement is everything.

I’ve killed a bunch of deer with a 6mm rem, 270, 308, 30-06 and others. All killed deer just fine, but on average the blood trail from the 6mm was much more scarce than the others.

No clue but if its a 243 track job will be quick cause it will be dead within 50 yds of shot well

When I was younger I had to have the 300s, 338s because of the cool factor. As I got older I stopped that crap and haven't used anything over a 30 06. My go to is my .308 for past 20 years. But have killed deer with .243 and no problems finding them. Shot placement is all that matters.

Ya that’s cool and all AUdeerhunter but you can’t shoot him in the butthole and kill him like you can with a real mans 300 win mag 🙄😂
