Believe it doesnt have an impact if you want to. I know what works for us. š Pressure CNC. Not gun shots. And like Frankie said itās best to do it early and as soon as the first one steps out. Heck Iāve shot does and big mature bucks within minutes of each other. Just sit tight and keep hunting, especially if you shoot a hot doe. Oh boy. Get ready. Let me ask this question then......What is "hunting pressure"?.......Is it simply human presence? My goodness. Here goes 14 pages š¤¦šæš¤¦šæš¤¦šæ

Sunday morning I got into a ladder stand in plain sight of 6 does all between 50-100 yards and one of them stood there and stared at me for about 10 minutes. Then she walked towards me a little way and acted like she was going to stomp and carry on like an A-Hole. But she didn't. The stand overlooks a plot in the woods and the approach is hidden by brush. No skirt on the stand so being still is the name of the game.
Those punk does that run up on you stomping blowing and carrying on... those are the ones I shoot. I take those out this time of year. Been doing that for several years now.
Hunting Pressure is all inclusive and doesn't begin or end with a muzzle flash.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

how many of yall shoot doe off food plots and does it have negative impacts on bucks using the fields??? Kill them. If a buck wants to be in the field, he'll be there. Shooting a doe in a field won't ruin everything. Farting around the property on an ATV, walking, checking cameras or feeders, or "just seeing what's going on" disturbs them more.

A have a friend that spends countless numbers of hours sitting out in the woods on their property in a hunting blind simply taking pictures of deerā¦ā¦Why does this not affect the deer if going into the woods and farting around puts pressure on them?.......I have had does in the past that would watch me get out of the stand and walk back to the house without spookingā¦ā¦What separates these and other human interactions that donāt spook deer from āhunting pressureā?

Could the difference be the fact that someone is shooting at them in one situation and not the other??.......You know thereās really not a lot of other options to choose fromā¦ā¦Shooting at deer is the root cause of āhunting pressureāā¦ā¦.and shooting at them in the places where deer are the most concentrated is the most likely way to educate othersā¦ā¦.This debate seems asinine really.

My Dad says deer can tell the difference. As long as you aren't sneaking around, it doesn't bother them as much. But a camo clad predator slipping through the woods equals high alert.

All these donāt shoot em on field guys almost 100% sure they go screwing with cameras and feeders regularly. Thatās worse than shooting does on fields We donāt put cameras on fields and we also donāt ride and check cameras. The only time we check cameras is if you are hunting the area the cam is in.

This is something we are toying with in my club at the board level. Trying to balance that with what the biologist says, which is kill 15 doe's this year. Not sure that's possible, and killing that many in the woods when alot of our members only sit in shooting houses is tough.
What I tend to see here is if you haven't seen a deer by 7:30 am, you are probably done for the morning, and usually the doe's either come out around 3:30 in the afternoon and right at dark. More right at dark, if at all.
We stopped the baiting on green fields this year and suggested if you want to put a camera on one to use a cell camera with lithium batteries. Me and my son's killed 5 deer last year. 4 off green fields and one in the woods.
Members son shot one youth weekend. On Greenfield. Other stayed and fed for 30 minutes. My son shot one this am, it popped out and he tattooed it with a 30-30. We let it sit about half and hour and then went and got it and left.
We are next property over from sheriff's range so deer hear gun fire all the time here.
I think what messes the fields up is people hunting them with the wrong wind, and walking thru and around them looking for sign. Since I'm the planter, I check them. Just fertilized a couple Sunday and broadcast some more seed on two since they are getting pounded.

We try to do all our doe killing before January, if possible, so MLK weekend on, although there are plenty of hunters, very few shots. Of course, the abundance of pigs in Dallas County lately means there is a fair amount of shooting, no matter what weekend.
Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.
