I go 3 1/2. Little brisket, some belly, back end ok but front not terribly developed.Age is great but I use a more general rule, especially when telling guests what we shoot here. Since everybody in Bama watches football I tell them if the buck physically resembles a high school football player don’t shoot it. If it looks like ur typical college player don’t shoot it. If it looks like an nfl linebacker shoot it regardless of what’s on its head. Does anyone ever pull the trigger

Hunting public only, I've only ever had one in range that would meet this criteria, had the body of a bull. As far as I know, he's still walkin around, but would be probably 10 by now, if so. The hardest part is finding one like that, that actually exist on the ground you have access to. Sometimes they just aren't there, period.

Does anyone ever pull the trigger Usally about every 4-5 years on bucks in Alabama, but the slickheads get thinned on the regular.
