The hell you say. I shot a 7 pt when I was 14 and hit him a little back. Jumped him 3 times and finally shot him in the ass as he was running dead away. He was dead in the middle of the rd so we just backed up to him and loaded him up. Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

The round entered right side behind the shoulder and exited low in the left shoulder. Left shoulder was wrecked and I actually found the copper casing from the hornady bullet lodged in the shoulder. The deer mule kicked and ran about 40 yards, but didn’t leave much of a blood trail. 30 years ago, I killed my first with a borrowed .243 I’m Marengo County.
