Went and scouted section 4 this morning and picked out our spots for tomorrow. Saw six deer and two coyotes while we were walking around. Also found a few good rubs and scrapes.
I got a few spots picked out too. Several fresh rubs. Weather Tuesday is looking good! Funny thing is I have NEVER seen a deer there. Hope that changes

What are y’all planning on keying in on? We didn’t find much for feeding sign so we’re just going to hunt terrain features where we found sign. Terrain. I’m hoping to pick some off coming and going from the campground, which I hear attracts deer.

We found a big boss buck gravity feeder about 80yds from our north line on private property but I looked at it through binos and it appeared to be empty. Corn too expensive even for those rich Oak Mountain folks!

We found a big boss buck gravity feeder about 80yds from our north line on private property but I looked at it through binos and it appeared to be empty. Really is a pretty good strategy. I know of a few does killed last year, probably off the same feeder I have some spots picked out based on terrain, but I haven't scouted like Joe has. I went once and found plenty or rubs and scrapes but it was a while ago. I spent a LOT of time scouting last year, completely different zone, but I NEVER found food. I walked all over that zone. I ended up just hunting terrain and it ended with a buck.

Headed that way fellas. Gonna go knock around at Marks and get some lunch till meeting time.
Borrowing McDonald’s wifi in the pouring rain trying to get work done. After my Cracker Barrel breakfast, y’all let me know how the meeting goes while I nap.

Get the beer money ready boys. Bumped three groups of deer on the walk in. Two bucks, one of which was an absolute stud. Yeah, well…I saw a squirrel
