Alabama will have to play with the heart and determination that Auburn did on Saturday. If they do, they have a good chance. Georgia might be a little overconfident. Neither team has a good offense. Bama is #7 in the nation in total offense, and #5 in scoring offense.

Saw this today and thought it was interesting:
Alabama vs Georgia The SEC Championship 2021 By the numbers (on paper)
Rushing Offense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (202ypg) Alabama (150ypg)
Passing Offense: Advantage Alabama Alabama (341ypg) Georgia (240ypg)
Total Offense: Advantage Alabama Alabama (494ypg) Georgia (443ypg)
Scoring Offense: Advantage Alabama Alabama (43ppg) Georgia (41ppg)
Rushing Defense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (79ypg) Alabama (80ypg)
Passing Defense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (151ypg) Alabama (214ypg)
Total Defense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (230ypg) Alabama (294ypg)
Scoring Defense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (7ppg) Alabama (20ppg)
Turnover Margin: Advantage Alabama Alabama (+8) Georgia (+2)
3rd Down Offense: Advantage Alabama Alabama (54%) Georgia (46%)
3rd Down Defense: Advantage Georgia Georgia (32%) Alabama (33%)
Red Zone Scoring: Advantage Alabama Alabama (91%) Georgia (89%)
Red Zone TDs: Advantage Alabama Alabama (71%) Georgia (64%)
Sacks: Advantage Alabama Alabama (43) Georgia (41)
Tackles For Loss: Advantage Alabama Alabama (100) Georgia (81)
20yd Plays: Advantage Alabama Alabama (77) Georgia (66)
On paper, so to speak, itβs closer than the media would lead you to believe.
The question remains, does Alabama walk into this game as a team, or individuals. Can they play 60 minutes of football as the team we saw in the last 1:48 of the Iron Bowl?
That is the question. #RollTide

Saban isnβt going to let 2 former assistants beat him in the same year. Bama in a close one. Saban's lost his fire, lol. π€£π€£

From what we saw Saturday, UGa could rush two and cause problems in the backfield. 2? Bama has a RB that is at best 50% and an o-line that couldn't keep a 5 yr old girl out of the backfield. If I was Kirby, I'd rush one and drop 10 back in coverage. LOL. Seriously though, I think this game will be decided by 7 pts or less. Winner is a coin flip IMO.

I wouldn't put this game as insurmountable as the 2012 NC against LSU in the rematch. Granted Bamas defense that year was one of their best ever, but our offense this year is better. Eddie Lacy and TJ Yeldon helped also.

I sure hope my Dawgs show up like they have each and every Saturday this season. For the first time ever, I think we will have more talent on the field as a whole but I expect it to be a close game. I do think that UGA will dominate the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball and hopefully they saw what just a little pressure on Young can create. I think our front 7 will bring a lot more pressure than AU did. It is those quick hit slants that worry me the most. Those receivers get in the open field and they are dangerous. If our secondary can cover them one on one, this one could get ugly quick but that is asking a lot. I am glad that we are getting to play Bama because you can't be the man until you beat the man, and Bama is clearly on top of that pedestal, despite the one loss and some close games. Saban will have them ready and after that debacle on the pasture, they probably think they can beat anyone. But I hope and pray that my Dawgs step on the Tide with that Hobnailed Boot and break it off in their a$$. We have been too close too many times and I really believe our boys are prepared to deliver a knockout punch, just not sure we can do it with the Stetson Bennett, but the team and the coach believes in him and his ability to scramble may be the difference in the game.
DAWGS - 41 Bama - 17

πππ I'd hate to see you predict a blowout. I should have qualified that as the first half will be close.

Mark my words, Muzzie, you line 7 up in the box and play man all day and your secondary will get eaten alive with those quick slants you're so worried about. GA would be very wise to follow AU's lead and play cover 2 all day and walk the safety up when you want additional pressure. What you need to run is a 4 man front with 7 dropped into coverage. Not a 7 man front. You run a 7 man front all day and Bama wins it in a blowout. To AU's credit, they had the correct defensive scheme to beat Bama, especially as depleted as the RB situation is at Bama, AU just didnt have the horses on offense and backing off and playing prevent there at the end was the mistake that costed them the game. GA has more defensive talent than AU and if GA runs the same defensive scheme that AU did, I think Kirby gets his first win against his old boss. With Bama's weak line and walking wounded RB corps, there wont be much of an offensive adjustment that Bama can make.

GA is the better team esp. in the trenches, but these games always have a way of surprising everyone. I don't expect bammer to win but it wouldn't surprise me too bad if they did. I don't gamble but if I did and the line is 5.5, I'd go with GA. They are at least a touchdown stronger on the line but will it play out that way? This is why I don't risk my hard earned money on what 18 year old do. You just don't know who or what will show up.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
