Yes, it is very solid. It totally supports the whole stand side to side and front to back. And when doing maintenance you don’t even need a spotter when putting new ratchet straps at the top.
And yes, I need to put a fresh coat of paint on those old 16 foot Strong Built ladder stands. They are 22 years old.
