Iam waiting for a realistic hunting show. one that shows 4 hrs. of sitting and seeing nothing.

Let's add "Deer! Buck! Boom!" Instead of 8 minutes of "checking to see if he's old enough".

I’ve sent Casey hundreds of hours of those shows, what snack I eat, drink I take, dropping stuff out of my bag, talking to myself, playing games on my phone.

He has yet to put out a show of me…… go figure.

I like it but I think I'm realizing I like it for reasons other than just the hunting. When I want to just watch some nice animals get killed in a realistic setting, I go to Youtube. But I do enjoy MeatEater and the other things they put out.

Primos, Drury, Mossy Oak, Realtree, Waddell, Raglan, Small Town Hunting, Red Arrow and even Jackie Bushman along with some others I'm probably forgetting all produce shows that entertain me. I'm not necessarily trying to learn anything so I just watch the shows that have areas similar to where I hunt or want to hunt.

On youtube, Dr Grant Woods puts out some good info and I enjoy Oakfuskee along with some random other ones.

Jim Shockey’s show called Uncharted was an excellent hunting show. It had lots of variety in game, adventure, and worldwide settings. It was a lot like MeatEater, but on a different level of production.

For deer, Midwest Whitetail, which is where the THP boys got their start, is a really good one.

Another one of my favorites is The Untamed. Most of their hunts are spot and stalk bow hunts in rugged West Virginia coal country.

It shows the whole hunt I suppose. Nice scenery. Commentary is very good as well.

The folks doing the deer hunting shows seek out the very best and most expensive ground in the world to hunt on. They know most people want to watch them hunt where there are giant deer.

I get amused at some of the ridiculous products they push and claim are silver bullets. One episode of a show I won't name showed the star hunter and guide glassing and they spotted a big buck walking in the distance (they never show the buck walking). They say they need to get in front of him so they hop in the truck and race off. They get set up and along comes the buck and stops where they had just poured some Cmere Deer and they shoot him. Or the buck 1/2 a mile away and the guy blows his buck roar (sounds like a T Rex on Jurassic Park). Magically, he shoots the deer (off a pile of corn) and touts the buck roar for reeling him in.
