Jim Shockey’s show called Uncharted was an excellent hunting show. It had lots of variety in game, adventure, and worldwide settings. It was a lot like MeatEater, but on a different level of production.
For deer, Midwest Whitetail, which is where the THP boys got their start, is a really good one.
Another one of my favorites is The Untamed. Most of their hunts are spot and stalk bow hunts in rugged West Virginia coal country.
I was able to watch almost the entire Uncharted series on youtube for free (danger tv I think it was). I had always assumed Jim Shockey was exactly like the tv hunters I had grown to dislike, and went into it expecting to hate the show, but it was awesome. He tends to get philosophical about everything kinda like Rinella does, but to be honest that's kinda where my mind wanders when I am on stand, too. He is also a hell of a shot with that 300 weatherby.
I like his shows pretty good...
