I would say 21 but have to hunt with a member and allowed one deer. How many 16-21 year olds can come up with $1,000 $2000, $3,000 bucks? Now you put them in a spot where they can't hunt with their dad, grandpa or whom ever. Might be reason why hunter number keep going down. Ain't got no money to play the game. Plenty, and almost all of the ones who want to bad enough. Hell if you really run the numbers it’s probably easier for a lot of people that age to pay for clubs then it is their parents. Yea they may be on a low wage job but most times they have zero bills as Mommy and daddy are supporting them under their roof. In a matter of a century we went from people starting families at 16 to now you’re on daddy’s insurance until you 26. We’re doing great for the future. Clubs are too often wayyyyy crowded from “family” memberships. A club with 10 people on a thousand acres could essentially become a 30 person club if everyone’s man babies hunt with them too on that one membership

I’ve been in numerous clubs where you could not have but 2 stands signed out as a member…..meaning if you had momma, daddy, and the 3 little bears….they all had to fit into 2 spots. If each lil bear killed a buck over the season……Daddy was tagged out.

I think it should be after High School -

Agree w JStocks - limit deer killed and stands u can sign out - over 2 stands is a bit much
When my boy and I were in clubs - we sat together lot (he was younger) - otherwise 3 stands or more - charge second membership
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

It needs to be really addressed in the rules. We had one member a few years ago that would show up with his 2 kids and wife and sign out 4 club plots every time. Depending on what the wind was doing, that was half the spots available for all the members to hunt. He was too busy to attend work days though. He's not with us anymore.

I’m a big fan of the one gun in the woods per membership. I Don’t care if it’s guests or family one gun in the woods solves all the issues.

I have my adult son coming in this weekend with my grandson for a couple of hunts. Grandson is too young to hunt so I'll be babysitting and letting him hunt. Still have to pay guest fees even though my membership will only have one gun in the woods.

I have a lease with a buddy. His son graduated this past year. He’s gone hunting with me more than my buddy lol. He pulls his fair share of work and is beginning to pay as well. If feeders need filling he will buy corn and feed them. Same as me and my buddy. Once he’s out of college we will split the cost into thirds.
I enjoy his company! Great kid whom I held in the palm of my hand when he was a premature born little boy. No relation but I’m his uncle if you ask him lol. I’ve enjoyed watching him grow up. He’s got a great mom n dad so he has good teachers at home. And at 19 he’s not afraid to hug my neck in front of his girlfriend or his friends.
Me and his dad started leasing property together in 1999. I reckon we will continue until one of us can’t (physically).
