I have been using Academy's Game Winner Feeders and have had zero problems. I have those stand and fill types "No Hassle". They make them in a 720 and 320 pound version on black pipe legs.
Best feeders I have ever owned but a bit pricey. No way I would go with anything I couldn't stand on the ground and fill after owning these.
The also make an "Easy Fill" that looks near the same but has angle iron legs. No experience with those but priced a little less.
Would I buy a tripod feeder.... No way.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
