Great job CNC. Made that kids year. Where was the shot placement and how far did he go?

Shot was perfect but it was just the angle…….Went over 1200 yards though and was still alive when we found him this morning……Had to bay him up and finish him off with a real gun.

The hell you say. I shot a 7 pt when I was 14 and hit him a little back. Jumped him 3 times and finally shot him in the ass as he was running dead away. He was dead in the middle of the rd so we just backed up to him and loaded him up.

Shot was not perfect if you trailed him 1200 yds.

And if the deer was still alive the next day.

It was just a joke........It didnt go but 100-150 yards or so......just wasnt bleeding and they didnt want to risk not finding it

I shot a doe with a GMX yesterday. Trailing was not a problem. First deer with this round so it’s merely “anecdotal” at this point.

My 8 year old son took his first deer last weekend during the MS youth season. He shot his doe at 72 yards quartering away on a green field. The round entered right side behind the shoulder and exited low in the left shoulder. Left shoulder was wrecked and I actually found the copper casing from the hornady bullet lodged in the shoulder. The deer mule kicked and ran about 40 yards, but didn’t leave much of a blood trail. 30 years ago, I killed my first with a borrowed .243 I’m Marengo County. They’ll work fine, just like a 223 in the right hands. [s][/

Yes, I’ve had lots of pictures of him for the last 3 weeks and I’ve been “camped out” in his core area as much as possible. It finally paid off today!!
