He needed to hug the cover tighter, but instead he got on my down wind side and came through the wide open timber. Had him at 50 yards angling towards me and would’ve offered me a 30 yard shot but when he hit my scent line he locked up. Never spooked hard, just calmly turned and walked straight away.

I told my wife to get ready that the doe was acting like a buck was behind her. About 40 minutes later he showed up. She dropped him at 20 yards with her 7mm-08.
