Exactly why I planned to walk in early, or not at all. Cant stand blowing a spot up on the way in.

But I thought the deer wouldn’t move until 10am when it’s 30 degrees???

Cams have been dead since daylight but will be going nuts soon.

I’m here in Pickens co. Had big plans of sitting all day in a ladderstand in some hardwoods. On my way there took a detour to big shooting house in a cutover. Had a spike graze thru the field about 700. Seems they moved around some last night. Has 20ish pics from a cell cam on other side of lease including a new to me bonus wide 9 point from 130 til 430. Guess we will see how it goes. Good luck to y’all

Cams are dead because they're froze over. No way to tell whether the movement is dead or not this morning unless your hunting

Ha ha nah its pretty easy to tell. One 4 yr old at 8::00 otherwise just a few does, normal morning is 40 or so deer. They will be along soon, the sun would help

You’re right, that deer will probably be on corn and fields heavier once the sun gets out. But they are moving just fine since daylight. I’ve seen at least a dozen individual deer, but haven’t received a picture from any of the 3 cell cams I’ve got on this property since 5am. Cameras don’t always tell the full story.

Couldn’t stand it in the shooting house in the wide open, I had to move to something nestled in the pines

I believe they start targeting bucks during the rut looking for ones that are injured and run down from fighting, etc

Just had a smallish buck dogging a doe in front of me. 6 or small 8 point. Happened fast.
