Been looking into Donovan lakes for a while now just wondering if anybody has any experiences to give a better feel of what to expect when wetting a line for bass and bream there. Thanks in advance

I've fished there as a guest quite a few times. Nice lakes, the times I was there it was never crowded. I want to saw k my I e time was there even another boat in the same lake with us. Caught a few every trip, usually one good fish and several decent fish-say 5-6lb and 2-3 lb. it's well maintained, lakes are free of trash, managed by a biologist if what I was told was correct.

Appreciate it man, not looking for a place to go catch a bunch of 1 1/2 pd fish I can do that at the river, I’d prefer fewer fish but a better shot at an 8 pounder so sounds like it’s what I’m looking for

When I was a member I caught several 8+ bass there. Then I discovered the bream fishing and forgot about the bass.

I have seen some absolute giant bream in pictures I think that would be solid in the spring for my wife and kid if I can’t make the bass eat a frog. Thanks again guys all solid info

My grandfather was a member there for many years. He loved bream fishing over there and just a few years ago caught 2 8+lb bass on his ultralight rig at one of the piers.

I have given thought to joining myself several times.

I've seen some monster bass that came from there, and they are managed very precisely by Dr. Thomas Wilson who is a retired Biology Professor and takes the management very seriously.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Years ago I worked with a guy who was a member and I went as his guest a couple of times. I never hooked anything over 4 to 5 lbs but he caught a 7 lb per a time or two. Good clean nice place to go.

I joined the club a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to go after deer season! Probably will be in the market for a small boat.

There's a guy that is featured on the website, Stephen Russel. He and his wife have a YouTube channel that I follow, they live down here in Baldwin County and have been building a Bass Pond. It's a good channel if you like that sort of thing
