We've got a house on the cape and fish the bay and pass all the time. We have seen Sambar deer roaming the beaches multiple times. I have yet to see one of the red wolves though, looks like an amazing trip, enjoy!

Island buck down! Got back in the tree about 3:30 and he came walking out of the palmettos to check the scrape that I’m watching at about 4:05. Will get pics when I hit the ground.

Coosa, can you continue to hunt or is this hunt a "one and done" deal? Congrats on the kill. Post'em up.

Photo dump from the afternoon. I didn’t think to get someone to take a pic of me with the deer. But I got lucky and the game warden drove through about 20mins after I shot. Got a free ride back to camp and didn’t have to wait for the 6pm meat truck run. Surprisingly this buck was slap full of fat. Weighed 122lbs and the biologist here aged the jawbone at 3….kinda weird to me after dealing with so many Alabama deer. I guess they don’t grow the same on this island.

Congrats! What do y'all do about ice to keep the meat in good shape? Excuse my ignorance, never been there
