Buncha damn sissies

I guess it’s just conditioning, but I got a Mossberg 835 turkey special when they first came out with the 3.5” and killed a pile of turkeys with it. The recoil never bothered me. I only sold it to upgrade to a Browning Maxus because I wanted an auto loader.

I have never really noticed the recoil of mine when shooting a turkey but I sure notice it when patterning a new shell.

Another vote for 835 with 3.5” Turkey Loads but to me it’s still manageable. It’s still the only gun I carry in the spring. One of my older buddies that’s already passed on used to say “ that thing kills on one end and cripples on the other”

Ruger no 1 international in 30-06

The 835 is bad with 3.5’s and I got a Winchester model 70 featherweight in .270 that’s a pain to shoot also but the worst kick I’ve ever experienced was a double barrel Ithaca 10 gauge my dad owned. If you ever get the opportunity to shoot one never even load both barrels and if you do don’t pull the front trigger. Never shot that gun but twice and it was horrible as in they shouldn’t even sell them bad.

Hardest kicking gun I've ever shot would be a close race between a mossberg 835 with 3.5in turkey loads or a 20ga ATI over and under with 3in turkey loads, currently the ATI 20ga is the hardest kicking gun I own kicks way harder that my 300 win mag

My dad has one and its the worse to shoot. I don’t know why it kicks so bad but it’s just painful. Earlier this year I shot at a goose with 3.5 BB in my sbe2. Dang near took the wind out of me when I shot all three times. Missed the goose to boot

Pulling up the rear is my H&R Handi Rifle in .35 Whelen. I don't need that rifle in my life, and it's currently for sale.

Buddy of mine wanted a 45-70 and found a NEF single shot at one of the local gun shows. He bought it and a box of ammo and we left to go shoot it. Between me, him, and another friend of ours, we sit the entire box of ammo that afternoon. It didn't kick anywhere near the 835 with 3.5" magnums

I agree I hunt with the same 45/70 all the time. The 300 Weatherby Mag I have is worse

A Remington 870 Supermag, with 3.5" buckshot and turkey loads. That thing skipped my shoulder and kicked me right in the face. I've shot a bunch of 3.5" guns, but that one was a step above the rest.
