SPECIAL YOUTH HUNT: Saturday & Sunday the week prior to the opening of spring season

Is that march 19 and 20 on all lands or is it the 26th and 27th on public lands? If so, then would that make the special WMAs having youth hunts on april 2nd and 3rd or are their youth hunts still march 19th and 20th?

If it was just 1 weekend then I would think they would just include the dates! But, ???

Each WMA will have the youth dates listed on the permits. That's easy to figure out.

Youth season is a season in and of itself. Meaning that if your kid kills one during youth season he/she is only tagged out for that season. Youth season is a weekend only then closes, so they'll be good to go when the regular season opens.

I haven't looked closely yet, but are these two things true and where? WMAs?

Thanks. We have youth hunted alabama for a couple years now, but these new regs confused me. Starting public and private on different dates is gonna lead to a bunch of adjoining landowners poaching birds off public. But, I guess money talks.

Lol totally joking my friend…wouldn’t surprise me if we give it 5 years and they become true with the current dictatorship at the helm

Being only to take 2 of 4 off the same WMA is the sorriest rule I’ve ever seen.

It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. I agree with you on the regular season but it is what it is. It's going to be hard for me to go by this new crap.

I think you will eventually end up with a short spring season only state wide, no decoys and a three bird limit.

Just read through them and it looks like for the areas I hunt the only differences are no decoys for the first ten days and limit went from five to four.
