My wife wants to take a 2 day vacation this weekend and I thought about traveling through Anniston, Gadsden, Scottsboro...etc.. Where are some bars that are happening in this area... she will want to go out one night to drop it like it's hot. We went to Chestnut Station 10 years ago and it was packed.

Any other vacation ideas in this area?

Get a big jug of vodka and hang out in Zinn Park in Anniston. Ive only been there in the daylight, but it looks like a party crowd.

Nightlife in Gadsden...

U would be better off building a fire under a bridge and fishing and don’t forget the 30 pack of natty and u will be good

Umm maybe I’m alone in this but I try travel OUT of Gadsden.

Now a cabin in Mentone, hell ya that’s a different story.

Peerless Saloon is about the only bar in Anniston I stop by when in town.
Lucy’s used to be a good time in Gadsden but not sure if it’s still there. Ain’t set foot in Gadsden since I left grad school.

Night life in Scottsboro....

Take her to Nashville and bar hop there.

We have been to Nashville.. it's expensive. We also go to Birmingham and Mobile frequently. Mobile is our favorite place to go bar hopping. Generally we like to stay away from tourist type places and find some hidden gems.

We have some of the best times in shady bars that are packed by locals... not in tourist type places. If someone said their is an awesome bar in Rainbow City and you can stay at the La Quinta... will go check it out.

This is what I am talkin about. I checked it out and looks like a happening place. I am adding it to my list.

Take her to El tapitio , get full of alcohol and head over to the Gentleman’s club in Gadsden . Fine lil establishment.

Well if stop in Gadsden roll through Tuscaloosa ave a lil after dark that should be good

Rack n Roll is pool hall / bar in Anniston. It’s pretty cool. Used to have Dee Fords and AJs for the main places to hang out. AJs just burnt down. The Darkhorse Saloon isn’t bad from what I hear. Partners Lounge is more chilled and older crowd. If you are white stay the hell away from the Pure Sports Bar and Grill. Hero’s was probably the best place for patriotic party loving folks around here but it’s closed now.

[s][/s]If you head towards Huntsville Furniture factory, Campus 801 has bar craft beer and good crowds.

The Peerless is really the only “bar” we have left.

Another spot down the street is Rack n Roll Billiards. They are in walking distance of each other.
