I’m gonna have to look into a cuber and grinder. 😂

I use Hudsons in Hurtsboro, the jalapeño cheese fresh link, is the best I've ever had, guy is fairly reasonable, sausage is $3.50 a pound, he also makes chorizo as well as various other stuff...best deer sausage I've ever had

Ive got three at Weavers right now. I expect ill get 150lbs+ back. 90% of it is specialty meats. They gutted two of them and caped one out. I figure itll be $600

South’s Finest does excellent work. Probably the best I’ve ever had. But yes, their prices have continued to climb. I had sticker shock couple weeks ago when I had to pick up 2.

But, until someone is as convenient, as clean and timely, I figure I don’t have much choice or reason to go elsewhere. I’m not using either place in Calera but have heard good things about Wilderness in Green Pond.

You cleaned your deer and deboned it for them, they ground it and added $5 worth of pepper and bacon and charged you $130 and you think you got a good deal?

Steaks take more time n bacon is expensive I can see that price but next time leave the bone in I bet you'll come out better time wise

Pretty sure Weavers would have charged a little iver half that and they would have dressed the deer

$85. Vacum sealed. Sausage is a touch more. Never add fat to my burger. They skin. Cape out $10

$90 at Nana's steaks & hamburger price includes skinning, Shack's is $65 if you skin $85 or $ 90 if they skin both near Millport & do a good job,Shack's has some of the best snack sticks I've ever had.

$65 for any deer with the hide on it. “Cube the best and grind the rest” is my motto.

There is another guy in town that charges $105 for the same thing.

Of course If you add: sausage, jerky, summer sausage etc the price goes up.

To the OP; I’d tell that processor to enjoy his deer meat and the bad press I’d give him.

A processor that charges over $120 on a 200lb deer for partial hamburger or sausage and the rest cut up is a place I would stay away from.

Like Brandon says its the best around. Have used the one in green pond and its good but both are about the same price wise and imo the specialty items which are why you get one processed are the beat I ever had at Souths Finest! I have had all burger done there and its 90 or $100 bucks with gutting skinning etc. Add specialty cuts and products and it goes up just like it does at any processor.
