Was in stand Sunday afternoon probably about 40yds from creek. 17 wood ducks walked over and started eating corn. My covert captured some of them.

Never had anything like that happen before. Thought I’d share.

That’s cool. I’ve only seen them get in a corn pile once.

For some reason we have so many turkeys in one of our blocks I just quit feeding it. The turkeys got conditioned to the sound of the feeder and wiped it out before the deer had a chance.

Yep, me too. I was bow hunting one mornings and a whole bunch of wood ducks came walking through the woods from a slough and started eating water oak acorns.

I’ve had about 40 or so one time buzz by a field that had a lot of oak trees in it and ran all the deer out then landed and started eating acorns

Ducks love corn ! Woodies especially. I have a flooded corn patch in my duck pond . They’ll clean up an ear in no time .
