Did this to all my gas and diesel cans except I pulled my valve stems thru with pliers - just dont booger up the threads - grab the rubber part and use stems about 1 1/2 inches long so you have something to grab.. Wonderful time saver when gassing up! https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...1B2A3F63E95F954706F71B2A3F&FORM=VIRE

Those yellow ones have worked well for me.
Son SOB stole 3 of my cans with em, but the one I have left is still going strong after a decade or so.

I bought racing fuel cans several years ago. Never looked back Obama jugs ruined me from store bought ones.
