I've got three. You think you have a bunch of years left with them and then you lose them at 14. Mine are on the right path, but it doesn't take much for them to fall off of it.

It’s so tough for these young girls now. It’s not uncommon for them to have anxiety issues etc and I wish I knew exactly why. My thinking is social media, entertainment media, lack of God in their peers, and on and on. I have an 8 yr old and all I know is protect her best I know and let her know I love her.

Covid restrictions have been extremely hard on all kids. I've got a 16 year old daughter that has had a horrible high school experience due to moving to a new town right before Covid hit. It's criminal what we've given up and given in to. Good luck to your daughter on her try out.

Horrible world for them to grow. I have two boys and I’m worried sick. Oldest gets text from a less then wanted female late on a Friday night after being warned from a friend about her. Man I don’t want him to see the evil of the world at such a young age.

Y’all say a prayer for me and my two daughters. My older one who lives with will graduate this year and I’m proud of how she strives to honor the Lord in all she does. The younger one quit church when she moved off with her mother and will no longer speak to me. I love and miss her something fierce.

Hate to hear that hopefully she’ll have a change of heart.

Keep an eye on them. May be worth setting up a visit to talk with a counselor.

I just finished getting 2 thru high school and both in college and it was hard. They have been in church since they were a fetus and 95% of the other kids never go. The most important thing is to have them in church and be there for them when they want to talk. The stories of kids disrespecting teachers and cussing etc is crazy compared to being in school 30 years ago.Having other like minded teenagers at church also shows them their not the weird ones and it helps.

I got two. One in here first year of college and one that is in her first year of teaching. I never knew what i was going to be up against when they started middle school. Lord has blessed me with very well behaved and respectful kids/now adults..... Don't know how me and their mother made it through those middle and high school years sane. Definitely harder now than it was when we were kids, social media is the devil. momma says.

i`m gonna tell you dads another thing about some of these teen girls. they`re just as bad if not worse than these teen boys when it comes to doing things with their phones that they shouldnt. i have to keep a close eye on my sons phone. hell, he just got his fancy phone back this weekend. he`s been sporting a flip phone for the last 6 months because him and these damn girls don`t know how to behave. the biggest difference is, i`m proactive when it comes to stuff like this and other parents have their head in the sand. i trust someone until they give me a reason not to and he gave me too many reasons not to. SNAPCHAT is the damn devil! these kids are very smart when it comes to hiding things from mom and dad. they have apps that help them hide apps. i highly suggest that you snatch that phone out of their hands late at night without any warning. a surprise attack is the best way. if they hear you walking down the hall, you`re too late. my boy is 16 years old and his phone lands on MY night stand on school nights at 9:30 or he loses it for a few days. call me a helicopter dad, over bearing or just a straight up a$$hole, i don`t care. yall better pay attention to these kids and make sure they`re flying right or else you`ll regret it one day. one more thing. you can set these phones up so that they`re only allowed to down apps with your approval. my son is generally a good kid and pretty dang intelligent too, but hormones are off the charts!

Well I have Bayli!!! As much as I hate to say it, she is just like me. Her mom always said we don’t have to worry about her because of how tough she is. But of course if she’s away from us, we are always concerned about her.

Lots of truth in this post. Never 100% trust your kids....trust but verify.

I have an almost 4 year old little girl and I’d be dishonest if I said I wasn’t concerned about the world she will grow up in. I’m a Christian and pray that God would guide my children’s steps from early in their life, that they would know Him and love Him. Extreme Heights I don’t think you’re overbearing at all, you’re just being a responsible parent. Kids brains aren’t fully developed in their teen years and even adults with fully developed brains have problems with sexual sin that social media and internet promotes so much. Mine won’t have a smart phone until there is a true need for it, and they will definitely be handed over each day for the night. This is just from observing what I’ve seen other Godly parents do and how their kids behave. Most critical is to teach your kids about Jesus early on, not a guarantee they’ll behave well as we’ve all seen kids go wrong that were brought up in Christian homes, but they sure have a much higher likelihood of loving Jesus and following him if they hear us talk about Him and follow Him in our own lives. It isn’t the church’s job it’s ours.

My daughter move out years ago and is doing well... never worried about her much. I do worry if she is getting her oil change on time and keeping her tire rotated. She sucks in this area so I have to stay on her. I am really proud of her.

My daughter turns 15 next week. It’s a fine line between letting them have a little fun and freedom, vs keeping them safe.
Life 360 helps us with all my kids.
Girls are meaner than boys to each other for sure.
