Yep. Growing up on a farm you learn to do most things early in life. Started at 9 or 10 "moving the truck" out of the way in the field, then started driving a tractor at 10. Was driving to town at 12 by myself, but in a town of 700 it wasn't too big of a deal...everybody knew everybody, so we couldn't be doing any of what my Dad called "butt shining" in the car/truck around town! I was playing summer pony league in a town 15 miles away and was driving back roads to get to practices at 14.

In Mississippi we got our drivers license with no restrictions at 15. I could drive car, boat, motorcycle, etc… Took drivers Ed at 14, and was driving country roads at 12-13

9 or 10 in the hay field. 13 or 14 on the dirt roads around the house. I don't remember who got to drive the hay truck when I got big enough to pick up a square bale and throw it on the flat bed. I know I drove the tractor any where it was needed at 10.

14 we all were driving. A good friend got his vehicle, an Alabama van from Action Vans in muscle shoals. Had to take defensive serving class at age 15. Don’t run from the cops on your 3 wheele, especially when they know where you live.

I lived in the middle of nowhere. I drove to grandma's and the store at 12 or 13. My dad repoed campers for bank of America and the day I turned 15, we went on a trip. He laid down in the back seat and went to sleep. Told me to wake him up when got close. I drive 650 miles about six hours after getting my learners permit. 😄 No way I would let my kids do this. There's a few in here that know me well enough to know this isn't BS. I drove a motorcycle on multiple trips starting at 12 and drove Daytona Beach at 14 for Bike Week. My Dad had no limits. Again, no way I would allow this. I'm only 36 so, this wasn't in the 70s. Ha that's awesome

Was already driving on the roads when I got my first truck at 14. Was driving hay truck when i was old enough to stand on the seat and stear. Someone would get in and put it in super low the get out while I drove through the field.

I learned how to drive at 13 on a 2 ton water truck, My Dad owned a dirt track and I filled the truck up and went round and round. I still hold the record at the Flomaton speedway for most laps completed. The real challenge was operating a motor grader, you can get a gash going in a new york second.

I remember sitting in my aunt's lap to steer while my brother sat on the console and shifted. We'd take turns. Tore that transmission to pieces, but lort we had a good time.

Thats awesome lol....me and 3 of my buddies had ours at 14 and rode our bikes to six flags.....Bad thing is only one of us actually told the truth to his parents and the rest of our parents found out about 2hrs after we left...... They came and got our little ass too!!! ....Man I will never forget that feeling when they called my buddies name over the intercom..... We was standing in front of Buford the Buzzard and he was cutting one of my buddies down cause he had bad acne lol....Then we heard them call us all to the main gate.... Longest ride Home ever.....One of my buddies was on a CB 125..... Man I got my ass beat when I got home.....
