No BS folks. If the CEO of a major life insurance company says that deaths are up 40%, then we are probably about 3-6 months away from life insurance rates going up. It takes time for the data to come in and for actuaries to figure it out.
If you are vaccinated, then buy it now in case something happens. If you are unvaccinated and may need it in the future, then buy it now too.
By buying it now, you are locking in the lower rates before it gets expensive.
Just my $.02 and no I don’t sell life insurance.
We just called our agent and did two apps for a 30 year level term and a universal life policy. I can already see what is probably coming.

Most people reassure themselves and rely on the free life policy through work. Most people quit/retire/become disabled. Getting a policy then, can be, expensive and elusive.
Just a general observation of mine, seems like alot of folks die, within a year or two, of retirement.

Deaths aren’t even up remotely 40%. Year over year numbers have barely budged. 40% increase according to life insurance company. Looks like the CDC info supports the data too. This is not pointing at the Vaccine or Covid. This is looking at the side effect of what the lock downs have caused. Things like suicide d/t the shut down from losing ones job, or cabin fever and going crazy. It is pointing at a lot of different things.

This is my 21st year in life insurance, I PROMISE you that 40% number is exactly factual, +/- a few percent for each different company (I might be wrong, just going from memory, but I think my company is roughly $80MIL in life claims over 2020 and/or 2021). I am holding and handling the REAL checks.

One thing the Muslims got right is that Life Insurance is a gamble that you will never see the fruition of. Better to just leave life debt free.

I plan on leaving it debt free and I've got a chitload of life insurance as well. I'm going to make certain my wife and kid don't have to worry about finances when I'm gone, unless they squander it.

My wife and I got a considerable 30 yr term plan for both of us when we were around 42. It’ll take us to our 70’s and hopefully kids/grandkids will be gone and we should be set.

I sold insurance for years and 90% of Universal policies don't make it the way they are planned. Most folks run out of money in the plan way before they should. Stick with term and invest the difference. If you have plenty put back for retirement then use whole life. Some benefits to that plan but most people only need term.

I would agree normally, but a policy of $150k universal life is a good fit for me. I am not in the all or nothing crowd. Having a small amount of universal life and the rest (higher amount) term is a hybrid that works for me.
