Not fortunate enough to have one but good luck.

I haven’t because the screen is not a HD unit. Supposed to clear up a lot of noise by adding a certain gain function.

I did mine from an sd card without issue. I have been using the settings of a YouTube guy and thought they were pretty good before the update. I didn't like it after the update, and just switched to default out in the lake. Then I set the depth and distance like I wanted, and found that I could increase the gain to over 70 without having much interference. I saw fish and my baits a lot better after doing that, and it is noticeably better than before. Part of that could be that my earlier settings were not very good.

I don't see any downside to the update.

I have not done mine yet as I had read the same thing. What PCP says is encouraging though. I stills struggle with finding the right settings based on water conditions.

I have heard mixed reviews but the video I saw of the new features was pretty cool. Basically you can crank up the gain in order to see your lure and fish without all background noise

You talkin' about Garmin Guru? That fella is extremely good, very helpful.

Yeah, he is good at explaining it, but I think I had copied the settings from another guy. They probably just needed tweaking after the update, but I just started over. I have fished several times just using the defaults and adjusting depth, distance, and gain. But keep in mind that I just bought this thing in December and have only used it maybe a dozen trips. I think the update made it easier for someone like me who is inexperienced with it. If you really know what settings you like, it might be different.
