I have only done a bucket garden before but have been doing it that way for years with good success. Decided to try a raised bed this year. This is as far as I have got so far but hopefully it will produce.

Haven't got to my soil mixture yet. Going to plant my normal stuff... cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and squash. If I planned correctly I can get 20 plants. That's the same number I did in buckets last year.

Looks great ! I did one very similar a few years ago. I’ve had much more success like this as opposed to buckets. I plant Marigolds, herbs and cucumbers inside the bricks. I also added a rain barrel and a rain bird watering system. It works a whole lot better because I’m wetting the base of the plants. My plants looked healthier with less disease. Good luck!

Put all my trellis up

Got the dirt in. Went with equal parts peat moss, black cow and top soil with some perlite thrown in.

Ready to start planting now.

Looks really nice. I do 4x8 raised beds & use the "square foot" method. I had 32 silver queen corn plants per box & it was amazing. I use organic hay for mulch so I dont have any weeds. I also put up metal t-posts on the 4 corners & ran a wire around the posts to help support the stalks during strong winds. I have used the square foot method in my boxes for many other veggies also. Works great. Good luck. 🌽

Got everything planted. May have went a little overboard and planted to much stuff but we'll see.
Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, assorted peppers, a few okra and a few corn seeds. Got some herbs and marigolds left to plant.
