They are very good quality, a bit lighter and feel very good on the hand. Mizuno makes a good glove, just don’t know about the long term durability of them. 44 pro is pretty new to the market, unsure of those.
We have only used nokona conditioner on any of them, best stuff made for keeping the glove conditioned.
You can buy whatever your budget allows, but a higher quality glove will last a long long time. I would go with all leather also.

We spent some money on baseball gloves. My son started at age 3 and we bought 3 Nokonas through youth baseball and travel. We only bought a new one when he outgrew his old one. Nokonas are the best period. They break in really fast, hold up great and have a great feel for the player.

So there are folks really spending $150-200 on a USED glove, or $300+ for a new one, for a t-ball/coach pitch kid? We must be in completely different tax brackets...

A lot of good advice here and ebay has always been a good spot when looking for my oldest kids. My youngest son is 13 and im looking for a used first base mitt on ebay as we speak. Its a position he will only play every now and then but wants a mitt. No way im spending $200+ on a 1B mitt.

Fakebook marketplace will have a few used gloves in any given day.

Rawlings R9 youth glove has been a great glove for my son! I will buy another one when he needs a bigger one. Nakona glove conditioner and a rubber mallet works good for break in.

Bradley Gloves is a good glove to start with for a couple years. 44 Gloves are great gloves as well, you can personally design them, and they can make them specifically for youth sized hands. BUT I wouldn't go the 44 route until they are 8+ years old.

Shop garage sales for a good used one. I found my grandson a Mazuno last year for $5 at a garage sale. They cost around $300 new now.

with children from 4- 6 ages, Glove size is recommended from 8.5 inches to 10 inches for all positions, for youth children (7 - 12 ages), based on the player position that has different proper glove sizes. there are some brands that you can consider buying such as Rawlings, Nakona, and Wilson,...

tball = find a $10 used glove on facebook marketplace or ebay or garage sale or call up the league and get a glove from lost/found.

Revival!

It’s his 3rd season, obsessed with the sport, and just turned 5.

I got him a glove that’s a tad too big, 11 1/4, Rawlings leather. It’s broke in and he’s a vacuum with grounders and about 80% in the air.

I even went high dollar on a composite bat and he’s booming it to the outside fence. the joy he’s getting from the better equipment has been priceless.

Carry on

Keep him in a smaller glove. He'll adjust and it'll be quicker and easier for him to get the ball out to make a throw.
Trust me. Don't need expensive glove until later. Once your able to tell what position he'll play primarily then make a purchase. And eBay can be your friend on used.

If you are inclined to spend money on baseball equipment, spend it on a good glove. If taken care of, it will last him till he's an adult. When I could see baseball was going to be his thing, I bought my son a Rawlings Primo at age 11. I caught some grief from other dads spending that kind of money on a glove, yet these were the same dad's buying their son a $400 bat every spring. He still has his primo and he's 25. To me, spending big money on bats each year is blowing money up a hogs rear end. A new bat every year isn't going to make them hit better. Time in the cage and hard work will.
