My sons have had them all. Best thing is to let your son try some on at the stores to see what he likes. nokona will last forever and the leather is like saddle leather, a bit heavier and stiffer than most, but excellent quality. Wilson makes good gloves, but neither of my boys likes the pocket or the palm. They both settled on Rawlings pro preferred gloves. They are very good quality, a bit lighter and feel very good on the hand. Mizuno makes a good glove, just don’t know about the long term durability of them. 44 pro is pretty new to the market, unsure of those. We have only used nokona conditioner on any of them, best stuff made for keeping the glove conditioned. You can buy whatever your budget allows, but a higher quality glove will last a long long time. I would go with all leather also. We spent some money on baseball gloves. My son started at age 3 and we bought 3 Nokonas through youth baseball and travel. We only bought a new one when he outgrew his old one. Nokonas are the best period. They break in really fast, hold up great and have a great feel for the player.

Get the glove steamed too. Most sporting goods places will do it and it will make a world of difference. Never steam a glove.
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

So there are folks really spending $150-200 on a USED glove, or $300+ for a new one, for a t-ball/coach pitch kid? We must be in completely different tax brackets...

Fakebook marketplace will have a few used gloves in any given day.

My son is 8U and I bought him a 11.5” Wilson A900 Pedroia fit (fits small hands). He loves it. Great quality glove but doesn’t break the bank that is what my son uses for his 8U travel team in alabaster. at academy it was right at $100, breakin time was near nothing but the more you play catch (and i mean sho nuff throwing and not just playing toss the ball) it should last him well into middle school ball...

Bradley Gloves is a good glove to start with for a couple years. 44 Gloves are great gloves as well, you can personally design them, and they can make them specifically for youth sized hands. BUT I wouldn't go the 44 route until they are 8+ years old.

Shop garage sales for a good used one. I found my grandson a Mazuno last year for $5 at a garage sale. They cost around $300 new now.

with children from 4- 6 ages, Glove size is recommended from 8.5 inches to 10 inches for all positions, for youth children (7 - 12 ages), based on the player position that has different proper glove sizes. there are some brands that you can consider buying such as Rawlings, Nakona, and Wilson,...
