In reading the court rulings, I think it all has to do with intent. If you are using vulgar language as part of your normal vocabulary, it doesn’t look like that is a chargeable offense. But, if you are dog cussing someone out, it is taken as “fighting words” (the court’s language), and can be disorderly. I think it all has to do with your intent. None cop can have you arrested for using profanity in public. Gotta signa warrant You can be arrested for trying to start a fight , cussing or not . Trying to provoke an assault Threatening someone is not an Assault in Alabama. Switchblades, and I mean real Switchblades not what a lot of people think are Switchblades, are or used to be illegal in Alabama. In my 30 years I bet I only came across a real Switchblade a time or two.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Yeah ,,,,, provoking an assault is a chargeable offence . Sign a warrant first
I guess a switch blade is where you mash a button and the blade slings out . They are legal.

According to the news this morning, the new law will still require you to have a permit to “carry in your car”. So just like the Open Carry BS, unless you walk everywhere you’ll still have to buy a CCP.... Is that for real or did WBRC just completely botch their story?

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

That is not the way I read it, Gomer. I’ll have to go back and look through it again to be sure, but when I scanned through it I was thinking the only reason to get a permit was to cross state lines.
If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.
