And you would have to be a special moron not to see which country invaded the other here. I am also pretty good at spotting a bull chit reason when I see one. And the reasons offered up by Putin are a steaming pile of it. Early on Hitler would issue some half assed reason when he invaded a neighboring country as well. In fact providing a cover story for your naked aggression is straight out of the power mad dictators handbook. There also exists a rather long track record of Putin and Russia's actions prior to this conflict which paints a pretty good picture of what they are.

So yeah I support a people's right to defend themselves when invaded. I also have brains enough to clearly see that Putin and his regime are our enemy and still the greatest threat to western democracy in the world today. Only a moron could fail to see that Putin's ultimate dream is to restablish the former Soviet Union. I have consistently said we shouldn't get directly involved but if by giving weapons to Ukraine they will bleed the chit out of our enemy and maybe even cause some division among the powers that be in Russia then that's a good thing.

Just thinking out loud here, but if Russia is the greatest threat to western democracy, how did Russia not take Ukraine within a week? I love a good underdog story as much as anyone, but I’m sincerely wondering, is the Russian military that inept? I doubt it…guess you could argue that the military has not supported this war effort 100%??

I guess a second point to be made here is to consider where China falls in this whole threat to western democracy. You can bet they are taking notes.

There are no “Nazis” in Ukraine except a few hundred in Mariupol who are only guilty of living in trenches for eight years east of Mariupol and who are now, along with many other soldiers and civilians, defending Mariupol to the LAST MAN.

The political parties that were banned were just a few PRO RUSSIA parties that SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED given the facts and circumstances of the genocidal war by Russia.

The USA and many countries banned Nazi parties during WW2.
And most sane countries still do.

Rhino, this obviously strikes home in a big way for him, although that's something he dont seem to be willing to talk about. As passionate as he is about it, i would give his view more creedance, except every time he provides proof of why he feels so strongly, it comes from twitter or some other internet news source. I just dont find those to be very credible. And that has ben proven time and time again. I believe theres a thread on here about Elon Musk buying twitter because they are so unreliable and bad about censorship.

That he is passionate. I support the Ukrainian people and my reports are coming from 10 mins outside of Kiev. And I truly believe what he’s telling me. And then at the same time I realize the Biden administration needs this to continue as long as possible. Do I trust Putin?
