I noticed his gait yesterday was really off. He was leaning forward and took quick short steps. He looked exhausted by 18. Tiger always has a built in ailment when he doesn’t play good. Built-in ailment ?? Good grief; like him or not, he nearly lost his leg a year ago. Nobody thought he would ever play again; much less be competitive. Tiger said in an interview the other day that there was no problem with his golf stance but the problem was gonna be walking the entire course. He said walking is Hell. Give him a couple of vicodin , an ambien and 3 or 4 percocets and a golf cart and he'd feel right at home. He'd pile up birdies, eagles and dead patrons.

Not to mention he’s got fused vertebrae in his back. He’s an “old” 46 but most folks couldn’t even be on the driving range or practice greens with all the “ailments” he’s got. You don’t have to respect the man but you gotta respect the mental toughness he has. I mean heck, he’s tied with Rahm who some folks think is a top 3 player in the world. He blew up yesterday and may never win again until he’s on the senior tour but I was glad to see him out there this weekend.

Today should be fun for those of you watching. There is little to no wind, so it should be time for some to score and some to fold. Leader is ahead by 3 ---- Who ya got to win it and what will be the final score in relation to par?

I stand by my statement that Tiger has always had some sort of ailment when he doesn’t play good. I’ve never seen him limping or holding his wrist when he was in contention. All of his troubles yesterday were scrambling around the green which is the easiest on the body.

Everything he has gone through , including his career derailment , is solely his fault. I don't have much sympathy for elite athletes who self sabotage with addictions and reckless habits. Anyone else that drove under the influence as many times as he has would have spent time in jail. He was a great talent that did a lot for the game but he's a serial adulterer and an addict and I'd never point to him as an inspiration or role model for anything other than his work ethic. Read the final police report from his wreck last year and you'll understand just how important wealth is to avoiding the same justice system the rest of us are subject to.

Just curious if folks believe Tiger is afforded the same grace you and I are? He may not sin the same way as you and I but I can assure you that we’re all equal at the foot of the cross. The way some folks bash on him it seems their horse is a little high. He's a public figure who makes his living off public perception and image. No different than saying something bad about politicians which I know you've done. You think maybe the reason it bothers you to see it about Tiger is that you like him so you climb up on the moral high ground in his defense but stay silent if someone you don't like is being critiqued? And he'd be afforded the same grace if he was a believer but he's Buddhist.

I can’t stand Tiger but I also played golf competitively and understand how truly marvelous his achievements are. Just as a rule I try not to assume the worst of people either. I said try because unlike the rest of you I realize I’m not perfect and fall short of that often. As far as your comment about higher moral ground that’s somewhat confusing as I’m the first to admit I’m a sinner in need of grace, I guess the question is Bill does someone like you have the courage to admit that or are you too prideful?

I took nothing away from his achievements. I gave an opinion. You brought morality and spirituality in to it which seems weird to do it because a celebrity took criticism but not do it when politicians take criticism. Seems to be a double standard but maybe you have a legitimate reason for being selective. I don't know. I'm not too prideful to admit anything but that really seems like an odd discussion for the sports forum.

Ok, enough Tiger.
The 12th hole has once again destroyed a chance to win the Masters. It's amazing that year after year these players come to this hole with a chance and they go for the right pin position. Everyone watching knows you DO NOT fire at that pin, you put it over the bunker into the middle of the green.
You cant win the Masters on the 12th, you can only lose it

Hell yes Rory just hit a miracle shot to post the low number in the clubhouse. Kudos to Rory on a great round and not packing it in. Ol Tiger would have just gone for a Sunday stroll if he entered the final round that far off the lead.

That score Rory posted was impressive.
