Been to a bunch…love artists in all genres
1. Ed Sheeran in Nashville Titans stadium with my wife..hands down best performance I’ve ever seen
2. Dave Matthew’s Band in TTown (been to 5/6 of his but this was the best)
3. Luke combs, muscadine bloodline, jobe fortner in a bar in ttown before luke took off
4. Elevation Worship in Gainesville Georgia, could really feel the Holy Spirit in the room
5. Pretty lights, slightly stupid, bone thugz at greekfest…first big party of college at Bama 😂

My favorite was Alice Cooper. I saw him in Birmingham last year and he puts on a great show. Very family friendly too. Of course Nita Strauss can play a guitar as good as most anyone I have ever heard. She is built like a brick outhouse too! Very nice looking ypung lady.

Warren Zevon - last minute decision at the Alabama Theater.
Jimmy Buffet- 197...7? or so - his leg in a cast - the night before he did the live album at the Fox
Plenty of others, but those 2 stand out..
The one I'm most sorry I didn't bother to make time for - probably Jethro Tull at the Alabama. Should have gone.
Forgot - Hank Jr. at Jacksonville state in 1982 or so. Dickie Betts showed up, walked up on stage, and played the entire show.

I have a feeling once I finally see Dave Matthews next month he’ll top this list but currently mine are:

1. Brooks and Dunn / Alan Jackson
2. Allman Brothers Band
3. Elton John with 2Cellos opening for him
4. Black Crowes
5. Blues Traveler

I've been to so many concerts in the past that it would take me awhile to think of the best. But the absolute worst was G&R at the horse track!

Alter Bridge in Nashville 2020.This was my daughter’s first concert. We got to attend the sound check and meet the band. Mark Tremonti gave my daughter the pick he used during the sound check. She wasn’t able to attend the show in Birmingham in 2017 because of the venue it was at. The drummer, Scott Phillips gave me the drumsticks he used for the sound check to give to her.

Van Halen in Birmingham 1985
Damn Yankees at Oak Mountain 1993
Alan Jackson in Birmingham in the mid 90’s

The worst concert I ever attended was Guns N’ Roses at the Birmingham Turf Club back in 1991 or 1992.

Buffet at Oak Mountain in about 87 or so.

Politics aside probably the top one was Springsteen in Dec. of 85. Dude came out and played four straight hours with Little Stevie, The Big Man and the rest of the E-Street Band. It was a great show.

U2 at Vandy. We’ve seen them numerous times but that was the best

Metallica in Memphis would be the best heavy metal

Eagles in a Memphis unplugged was dang good too

My best and worst were the same guy.... Hank Jr.

Around 1991 he got booed off the stage in n KC. I saw him the next night in st. louis. He sang for over 3 hours. Derrick Thomas came on the stage and sang "walk this way" and it was a fun night.

Saw him in Carbondale, IL and again outside of Memphis and it was terrible. Strange how drugs and booze works!

On the other hand, Ive seen tracy lawrance 6 times. Always good. Don williams, charlie pride, mickey Gilley, and the conley boys didnt dissapoint.

But, Ive seen John Anderson 5 times and maybe I should include him at the top.

Signed, Love Betty

Maybe I should have said Eddie Raven at the Choctaw Indian Res in Oklahoma. That was memorable.
