Widespread Panic at some of the most amazing venues from the Warfield Theater in SanFran to Red Rocks Amphitheater in CO to Auburn Indoor Arena in ‘95 (very 1st Blight ever played), VIP Box Seats @ FedEx Forum in Memphis (rock concert with leather recliners and an open bar), Mikey’s last shows at Oak Mtn

Kid Rock’s 1st OakMtn show possibly the most entertaining concert I’ve ever been too.

Blackberry Smoke many, many times when they were still an opening act. Every show better than the one before. It really was like catching lightning in a bottle those first 2 years. Coolest most down to earth “rock stars” you could ever meet.

David Allan Coe at Yesterday’s in Alex City when I was 17 or 18. He’s a cool dude that loves his liquor and his pot. Lots of both.

No doubt. I would love to have them on my resume as well but John Bohnam died in 1980 when I was only 15.

Just for the record I am a little jealous of some of yalls concert resumes..............

My best, Alan Jackson, George Strait, George Jones @ Bama Jam, he only sang one song but still a moment I will not forget. and Jason Aldean before he made it big.

I went to Bama Jam the years they done it in Enterprise in that Peanut field, ALOT of big Acts were there.

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

As far as “smaller” names go.....we saw the Alabama Shakes in 2012 at the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, with the Dexateens opening for them. Both put on a hell of a show. I really miss the Shakes, they were a solid band. And I think my ears are still ringing from the Dexateens. They’re like a southern rock version of the Rolling Stones on speed

Saw Aerosmith at the BJCC

Saw AC/DC at the Gulf Coast Colosseum in Mississippi and was in the 4th row from the stage. They rolled cannons out on the stage and fired them during "For Those About to Rock" My ears rang and chest hurt for 2 days.

Saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at Oak Mt.

I was at the Ozzy Concert with Motley Crue as the opening band.

Took my wife to see the Bon Jovi concert on the beach down at Gulf Shores because she just LUUUVVVs him. LOL!

Saw Def Leppard at Oak Mt.

Saw Journey in 1983 at the Municipal Auditorium in Mobile. Bryan Adams opened for them. That was a good show. Why doesn't Mobile have major concerts anymore?

Because everything moved to Baldwin county and the wharf

Def leopard “in the round” was awesome
Hank JR back in the day
Randy Travis/Alan Jackson was really good
Kenny Chesney and Uncle Cracker at Tuscaloosa was my personal favorite.
We got back stage passes to Rascal Flats and met the band. Talked about hunting with them. Cool
I like smaller events now.
We did the Trace Adkins Christmas show at Nashville with a dinner. It was way better than a concert imo. We were at a 2nd row table.

We had tickets to see Jimmy Buffett last year and they cancelled the concert.
Forgot about Aerosmith and George Jones concerts we went to.
Steven Tyler was running up and down the edge of the stage jumping over speakers and almost fell into the crowd!

Charlie Daniels at the old Gadsden Convention hall around 1990 that was a wild show

But the rowdiest I ever saw was when David Allen Coe put on a concert at the Fuzzy Duck. I was underage and made it in the back door only because the GPD was beating down a biker gang in the parking lot. I had never seen anyone before or since getting a beatdown like they were giving. Billy clubs to the head. The fight was all the way into the lobby even into the bar not 20 foot from where he was playing. He never missed a chord or a note

Now I always like going to see Casting Crown when I can they put on a great show and actually minister to people during the concert. They are really good

Sadly, I never got to see Led Zeppelin.

1. Van Halen at Mobile Auditorium. Back in their early days with David Lee Roth.
2. Rush R40 in N.O. Saw them many many times before that but the R40 final tour was by far the best.

There were many other big name concerts (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Kiss, etc) but they are not in the same class as those two.

For small venues I couldn't even start to pick I've seen some crazy shows like Willie in Tootsie's back in the day.

Alan Jackson at Lake Martin
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page played Birmingham in 1998
Guns N' Roses/Metallica's 1992 stadium tour.
AC/DC - the speaker stack looked like a high-rise building it was nothing short of stupid.

Kid Rock's first Oak Mountain show was pretty epic. And probably the Widespread Panic shows from Oak Mountain back in the 90's were some of the most fun.

The first couple of Dave Mathews shows I went to were 100% college kids and on another level from anything he's done in the last 25 years.
