After 15 years of living here we are finally getting high speed internet thru Joe Wheeler. I know nothing about streaming tv. A fire stick comes with the service but I have no clue which provider to go with. I’m just ready to get rid of satellite tv. What say Aldeer???

We have YouTube-TV and have been exceptionally happy with it.

We tried Hulu and my wife hated the interface; although, I think with the live stream w/Disney+ and ESPN+ it might be a better deal.

I have friends that have one of the Sling packages and they seem to like it pretty well.

Everybody will have an opinion
With a smart TV you can get Pluto TV (free) that has gunsmoke, Andy, rifleman, etc.
The weather channel is free with a smart tv
Haystack news is also a free app with fairly local news
NBC tv is only 5-6.00 a month and worth it.
Hulu tv Black Friday sale was .99 a month for a year. (Not live)
Netflix is OK but too high for what it is imo.
My wife orders youtube tv during football season and cancels it (like now).
You can have “peacock” app for 6.00 and Pluto for free and go from there.
You can significantly lower your monthly entertainment bill if you want to.

YouTube tv has worked best for us, we compared channels offered etc and picked the one that fit us best.

Congratulations on getting the Joe Wheeler flashfiber, we're still waiting on it over here. We're probably 2 years or more away. Get all this stuff figured out, I'll be asking the same questions later on beers thumbup

I've tried them all, Hulu is the best in my opinion especially if you like sports!

One other thing to consider - I don't know anything about the Firestick, but if you get a Roku device, there is also Live TV (not local channels) - but a lot of good content (and it is free).

Perhaps the Firestick has that, but I don't know anything about that product.

I wish we would have cut the cord years ago - it would have saved us a lot of money.

We just cut the cord. We have an Essential package from Spectrum for $20. I bought a $40 digital antenna for local stations/news. Wife has a Netflix account which I think is about $10.

My wife and I have YouTube TV and are happy with it. Local network channels. All the channels that carry college football. Basically every decent cable channel you could want. Unlimited cloud storage for saving shows you want to watch. I like the set up for the interactive channel guide. And I have had no trouble logging onto it and watching from any of my devices, tvs, computers, smart phones, etc.

If u have a newer Samsung smart tv they have app like whats on ur phone with 200 free channels. Called samsung tv plus i think . No local channels but lots of outdoor channels. I can get locals on my outdoor antenna. I live in north west al an can get 29 channels over the air free from huntsville.
