I am wondering the same thing. I'm heading down tonight to do some fishing Saturday and Sunday. I didn't realize until recently that their are two piers in Panama City Beach, the County Pier at Pier Park and a new City Pier I think further East up the beach. Would love to know if the fish are biting. I'm just going to take my chances and try to catch some Kings or Spanish.

wallacer 4 point W Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 331 Tuscaloosa ala.	I was there for the 4th ,I didnt fare too well but saw some spanish pulled over the rail and a few bobo's.I caught a small spanish on a gotcha and a small shark on a cigar minnow.

JA pic perv J Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 5,333 central alabama	Just got back. Fished all day Friday and Saturday. Friday was pretty slow except for first thing that morning. Saw several King and Bonito caught. A guy hooked a estimated 100lb plus Tarpon and fought it for 1 hr and 45 mins before it got off. Went back Saturday and fish were biting all day. I had several good hookups and my brother caught a nice King on a live herring. My nephew caught a nice Bonito on a live LY. Had a great time overall and will try to go back again soon. Locals said the best month to fish the pier is October with Kings weighing 40-50 lbs caught regularly.
